Terms of Service

Effective July 22, 2026

1. What Dibsy is

Dibsy is appointment software for small businesses: online booking, appointment reminders by text message (SMS), and automatic waitlist backfill when appointments are cancelled. These terms are an agreement between you (the business using Dibsy) and Dibsy (“we”, “us”).

2. Your account

You're responsible for your account credentials and for everything done under your account. Keep your password safe and tell us right away if you think someone else has access.

3. SMS Terms

Dibsy sends text messages to your clients on your behalf, under your business name. You may only add clients who have given you permission to text them. When you add or import clients, you confirm you have that permission. You are responsible for the accuracy of the numbers you add and for complying with the laws that apply to your business's communications (in the US, including the TCPA). We may suspend messaging that looks abusive, unlawful, or harms deliverability for other customers.

If you are a client receiving texts from a business that uses Dibsy: those messages are about your own appointments — booking confirmations, reminders, and offers of an earlier opening when someone else cancels. Message frequency varies with how often you book; most clients receive a few messages per appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Billing

Dibsy costs $15/month after a 14-day free trial (no card required during the trial). Payments are processed by Stripe. You can cancel any time from the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. When a subscription lapses, client messaging and online booking pause until it's renewed; your data stays put.

5. Deposits

If you enable deposits, they are payments from your clients to you, processed through your Stripe account. Refunds and disputes for deposits are between you and your client.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Dibsy to send marketing spam, harass anyone, text people who haven't agreed to hear from you, or do anything unlawful. Don't probe, overload, or attack the service.

7. Your data

Your client list and appointment data belong to you. We use them only to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can request an export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.

8. Disclaimers

Dibsy is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service, that every text will be delivered (carriers filter messages outside our control), or that every open slot gets refilled. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost revenue from missed or unfilled appointments.

9. Ending things

You can stop using Dibsy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

10. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll notify you (a text to your owner number or a notice in the app) before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Dibsy after that means you accept the updated terms.
